Working Safely is a completely different approach to safety and health training. It’s a 1-day high-impact session designed to be fun and get people fully involved. The first-class, jargon-free content is based on what people need to know in practice, and not off-putting legal language.
Working Safely is for people at any level, in any sector worldwide, who need a grounding in the essentials of safety and health. It gives everyone at work an understanding of why they must ‘work safely’.
Each module is backed by scenarios from genuine work situations. The course includes interactive games and quizzes, helping delegates to learn in a refreshingly informal way. The course addresses an outline of occupational safety and health, defining hazard and risk including identifying common hazards, and ways of improving safety performance.
Successful delegates are awarded an IOSH Working Safely certificate and/or passport card.
The course is ideal for people in organisations who manage others and manage risk and resources, typically line managers. The aims of the course are to provide an understanding of how to deal with safety and health issues in the workplace and give an awareness of everyone’s responsibilities.
The course is structured into 8 modules and includes validation of the learners understanding of the material presented via a test at the end of the course.
In addition to the IOSH Working and Managing Safely courses, we can offer bespoke training to match your needs. Particular areas which may be of interest include customised Technical Safety seminars, Management of Change courses, and Incident Investigation principles. Principles of Safe Work at Height and Safe Systems of Work may be other areas of interest.
